Free paper-shredding and recycling event at BECU Tukwila financial center

Boeing Employee Credit Union is celebration International Credit Union Day Oct. 23, by offering a free shredding and recycling event. Area residents can safely destroy their documents, thanks to a professional document destruction service with a mobile shredding unit on location. Experts also will be on hand to offer tips on fighting identity theft and fraud. New this year is a free service offering recycling of your TV, CPUs, computer monitors, laptops, and cell phones.

Area residents can safely destroy their documents, thanks to a professional document destruction service with a mobile shredding unit on location. Experts also will be on hand to offer tips on fighting identity theft and fraud.

New this year is a free service offering recycling of your TV, CPUs, computer monitors, laptops, and cell phones. Representatives from E-Waste will be on hand to make sure electronics are disposed of in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Both events run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the BECU Tukwila Financial Center, 12770 Gateway Drive, Tukwila.

People can bring up to three grocery bags or two banker boxes full of paper and recycling of TVs, CPUs, computer monitors, laptops, and cell phones. There may be a small fee for any other items people opt to recycle. For additional details regarding the recycling service, visit www.e-wastes.com.
