Highline Medical Center’s Specialty Campus in Tukwila has been purchased by Acadia Healthcare, a nationwide provider of behavioral healthcare services.

The facility’s new name is Cascade Behavioral Hospital. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cascade Behavioral Hospital now operates as a freestanding psychiatric hospital and will continue to provide adult behavioral health services to patients throughout the greater Seattle region. The hospital’s dedicated staff remains committed to providing the same quality programs that have been available for more than 25 years, according to the company.

“The transition in ownership to Acadia Healthcare is exciting,” said Matt Crockett, CEO of Cascade Behavioral Hospital. “This change provides an opportunity to expand our psychiatric and addiction recovery programs to meet the underserved needs of our community.”

Cascade Behavioral Hospital is a psychiatric and addiction medicine hospital that has a certificate of need for 135 beds and currently operates 63 beds. Cascade is one of a few hospital-based programs in the region providing comprehensive behavioral healthcare services. For more information, visit www.cascadebh.com.
