Join community members and local businesses in Tukwila for an afternoon of volunteering Friday, Sept. 14 to restore the Duwamish River shoreline.

Volunteers will help dig out invasive blackberries, lay down mulch and plant native vegetation. The event, from 1-4 p.m., will kick off the Restore the Duwamish Shoreline Challenge initiated by BECU.

Volunteers should meet at the BECU Campus along the Green River Trail, 12770 Gateway Dr., in Tukwila. Tools, training and refreshments will be provided.

Come learn more about the Challenge's goal of uniting Tukwila’s business community for this local environmental cause.
