September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and Rainier Cancer Center will perform free prostate-cancer screenings.
Located in Tukwila at 200 Andover Park East, Suite 3, the center will offer the screenings all month long. Screenings will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
No insurance, preparation or fasting is required for an appointment and walk-ins are welcome.
Rainier Cancer Center urges the community that every five minutes, two men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. They also say that if caught early, prostate cancer is very curable.
According to the center, more than two million American men consider themselves prostate cancer survivors.
