Michelle Simpson, Tukwila Pool aquatics manager

Summer is in full swing, and so are swimming lessons at the Tukwila Pool. We offer morning and evening weekday classes and Saturday and Sunday sessions.

We have a new swim lesson program we started in April with the American Red Cross.

I am excited to bring this program to the Tuwkila Pool. It is a fantastic curriculum that has been around since 1914.

Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 4, and the second leading cause of death in children ages 5 to 14?

Make sure that your child learns the life skill of swimming. It could save their life.

Adults can learn, too. We offer adult swim lessons every day of the week and a Master’s swim team. We have something for all abilities.

We still have plenty of swim lesson scholarships available for Tukwila residents who qualify. Visit for more information on lessons and scholarships, or call 206-267-2350.

Did you know that you can register for swim lessons online?

Beat the crowd and register at Lessons are offered year round.
