Car fire extends to house - family of four safe | Tukwila Fire Department

The Tukwila Fire Department responded to a car fire  at 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the 13500 block of 35th Avenue South.

Tukwila was assisted by SeaTac and North Highline fire departments, South King County Medic 4 and the Zone 3 Rehab Unit.

First arriving units reported a fully involved car fire that was extending to a single family residence.

The crews did a quick and strategic attack putting a  stop to the spread of the fire.

The house was occupied by a family of two adults and four children. All got out of the house safely.

There was one minor injury to one of the occupants as she was exiting. Crews quickly confirmed no one else was in the house.

Investigators are on scene now investigating the cause of the fire. The exact cause has not yet been determined.

Damage to the home was mostly on the exterior. Dollar loss is still being figured.

With the exception of the one minor injury to one of the occupants, no other firefighters or civilians were injured.
