Gunfire erupted at a candlelight vigil Saturday night for the Renton man killed early Friday morning near Southwest Sunset Boulevard, leaving a Las Vegas man with three non-life-threatening wounds, according to the Renton Police Department.

The shooting does not appear to be random and initially is not believed to be in retaliation for the 26-year-old Renton man's homicide, according to Dectective Robert Onishi, a spokesman for the Renton Police Department.

Multiple gunshots were reported to police at 9:46 p.m. Saturday at 330 S.W. Sunset Blvd., near the Crestview Apartments occurred at about 12:45 a.m. Friday.

The 23-year-old man was at the candlelight vigil  when some kind of altercation ended in gunshots, according to Onishi.  Renton Police are still working to determine the nature of the altercation, he said.
