Drivers and pedestrians can enjoy the recent street improvements along Tukwila International Boulevard from South 116th Street to South 132nd Street.
Tukwila city officials had a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 13 to recognize the improvements and the companies involved in the project.
Construction crews reconfigured the South 130th Street intersection as part of the two-year project.
Other boulevard improvements included minor roadway widening, moving overhead utilities underground, traffic signal modifications, landscaping and new curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
The work completed Phase II and III of the project to tie in with the Phase I improvements finished earlier at the intersection of South 139th Street and Tukwila International Boulevard.
