An adult female was sent to a local hospital by King County Medic One this morning following a fire in her apartment.
The fire, dispatched at 7:20 a.m., was first reported by another resident of the apartment complex in the 16700 block of 31 Avenue South.
When firefighters arrived, they found a ground floor apartment with smoke coming from the front door. A search of the unit found the female, who was brought out and treated by paramedics. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The fire was extinguished very quickly and did not spread beyond the one apartment. Other residents who were initially evacuated, were allowed to return to their homes.
The fire is currently under investigation.
