A Stuff the Bus community food drive to benefit the Tukwila Weekend SnackPack Program is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Saars Super Saver Foods, 3725 S. 144th St. in Tukwila.
A school bus will parked outside of Saars to collect food items.
The Tukwila Weekend SnackPack Program provides food for children at Tukwila’s three elementary who do not have stable housing. Each weekend and school break when students do not have access to free school meals, the program sends backpacks full of nutritious food home with more than 100 students.
The first Stuff the Bus campaign in November collected more than 1,600 pounds of food.
