The Tukwila community is invited to help create an art sculpture that will be outside of the new Foster Library, scheduled to open early next year.
Artist John Fleming is creating the sculpture, and community members can paint designs on their own sections of a 30-foot steel blade.
The painting takes place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, August 20, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 21, in the parking lot of the existing Foster Library, 4060 S 144th St, Tukwila.
Supplies will be provided by the King County Library System, and there is no cost to participate.
Open to anyone age 5 and older, but those 12 and younger need an adult with them.
