The following is a press release from the Sounders Women.

The Seattle Sounders Women started the year undefeated and they maintained the perfect record dispatching TSS Rovers on Saturday night July 7 at Sunset Stadium in Sumner.

With the win, the ladies in green finish as Champions of the WPSL Northwest Division for the third year in a row and will host the WPSL Western Conference Championships at Starfire Sports Stadium on July 14 and July 15.

Bethany Balcer continued her run of good form with a goal in the 21st minute to pace the Sounders Women in a dominating performance.

Kristen Pavlitsko scored in the 15th minute as the Sounders Women hammered the TSS Rovers goal and Jenna Holtz piled on the goals with a 32nd minute strike. Half time would stand at 3-0 with the Sounders Women in full control.

The TSS Rovers came out flying in the second half and found a goal early to make it interesting. The goal was scored by Natalie Cooke. At 3-1, the game then shifted back to the Sounders Women. Georgia Cloepfil scored in the 59th minute and Dom Bond-Flasza put one away in the 84th minute. Balcer put the exclamation point on the game in the 85th minute and the performance was complete at 6-1 for the Sounders Women.

The Sounders Women host Beach Futbol Club on Saturday, July 14 at 12 p.m. at Starfire Sports Stadium.

Immediately following this game, FC Tuscon faces the Fresno Freeze in the other West Regional semifinal at 2 p.m. The winners of these two games will face each other for the WPSL Western Conference Championship on Sunday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at Starfire Sports.
