Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce celebrates women in business

The Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce, which serves businesses in several cities including Tukwila,will host an event and initiative celebrating women in business and leadership in Southwest King County.

Celebration of Women in Business brings together successful local female leaders, executives, business owners and young professionals to share insights, exchange ideas and empower their careers. Everyone is welcome to attend the event from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Anthony’s Homeport, 421 S. 228th St. in Des Moines.

Sen. Karen Keiser, D-Des Moines, and Andrea Reay, president/CEO of Seattle Southside Chamber will speak at the event.

“Highlighting the work of women in every industry is vital as we collectively work to ensure a more equitable and competitive business environment,” Keiser said in a media release. “I thank the South Seattle Chamber of Commerce for their continued partnership to empower and encourage women in our state to make an impact in their professions.”
