Jené Iceberg, regional meetings manager for Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority was honored Tuesday with the Shining Star award from the Washington State chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Iceberg served as the chair for Washington State MPI’s annual auction, successfully coordinating a team of volunteers to execute the well-received event.

“We are thrilled that Jené has been recognized for her achievements as a vital part of the Seattle Southside tourism team,” Katherine Kertzman, president and CEO of Seattle Southside RTA, said in a media release. “Jené brings forward-thinking ideas, an enthusiasm for our vibrant region and positive energy that benefits the groups that we have the pleasure to host and serve throughout the year. We’re excited to see the future contributions she makes throughout Seattle Southside.”

Seattle Southside RTA is the official destination marketing organization for the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Des Moines and operates visitor centers near SeaTac International Airport, 3100 S. 176th Street, and inside Westfield Southcenter Mall, 2800 Southcenter Mall, Tukwila.
