Tukwila-based BECU collected 90,000 pounds of documents and 36,000 pounds of electronics at its annual Fall Shred Event.
On Oct. 10, BECU hosted three shred and e-cycle drives for its members the Seattle area – Tukwila, Everett and Federal Way. The Tukwila location was the leader, with 45,000 pounds of documents and 13,708 pounds of electronics collected.
BECU also collected 1,821 pounds of food for local food banks – including 564 pounds at the Tukwila location – during the fall shred.
Another shred event is planned for April.
