The King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday afternoon identified the 18-year-old killed in a Tukwila shooting as Bryan Dominguez-Navarro.
The shooting occurred at about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday in a parking lot in the 3400 block of South 144 Street in Tukwila.
Dominguez-Navarro and a 24-year-old man were in a car and the suspect was on foot when the shooting occurred, Tukwila Police reported. Dominguez-Navarro died at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office listed the cause of death as “multiple gunshot wounds.” The 24-year-old was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries but is expected to survive, according to police.
A Tukwila School District spokeswoman said Dominguez-Navarro was set to begin his senior year at Foster High next month. The 24-year-old, whose identity has not been released, is an alumnus of the district.
The school district had counselors, clergy members and police at Foster on Monday to help students and family members in need of support following the shooting.
It appears the suspect knew the victims, but police have not released additional information about the suspect.
