Voters have until today (Tuesday) to return their ballots to a drop box, scheduled ballot drop-off van or accessible voting center. Mailed ballots, by law, must be postmarked by today (Tuesday).
Tukwila’s voters are picking a new mayor; running are Allan Ekberg and De’Sean Quinn. As of Monday at 8 p.m. (the latest count available), 1,431 of Tukwila’s 8,169 ballot were ready to be counted.
The first set of election results are scheduled to be posted to the King County Elections website at about
“Results will include tabulation of about 245,000 of the approximately 300,000 ballots returned so far,” said Sherril Huff, King County Elections Director. “We expect to pick up a large number of ballots from drop boxes , as well as a very large mail delivery .”
There will be only one results report Tuesday night. The Elections Department will update results again by and most subsequent weekdays until election certification on . Results may not be updated every day if there are not enough ballots to maintain voter privacy.
