Two experts will try to set the record straight in a talk Feb. 14 at the Museum of Flight on a certain romanticism surrounding Adolf Hitler’s air force during World War II.
The museum will present the talk at 2 p.m. by museum curator Dan Hagedorn and World War II historian Dr. JD Wyneken that will shed light on the dark facts about the World War II German air force.
With the loss of many hard records regarding the exploits of the German Luftwaffe during World War II, there exists a certain romanticism surrounding Hitler’s air force in the eyes of some historians and many history buffs, according to a Museum of Flight press release.
The presentation is free with admission to the museum.
The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Tukwila, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field halfway between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors 65 and older, $17 for active military, $12 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5.
