The Tukwila School District is filing three school measures to go before voters on the Feb. 9 ballot.
In accordance with election guidelines, the Tukwila School Board is seeking citizens interested in serving on the pro and con committees to submit statements supporting and opposing the school measures in the local voters’ pamphlet.
The three measures are a School Programs and Operations Levy, a Bond, and a Technology (Capital) Levy. Because each measure is a renewal, the district anticipates no increase in the average tax rate if voters approve all three. More information about the school measures is at www.tukwila.wednet.edu.
If you are interested, please submit your name, contact information, and committee preference (pro or con) to Maria Gonzales-Millsap, 206-901-8006 or gonzales-millsapm@tukwila.wednet.edu , by Dec. 9, 2015. The statements are limited to 200 words and due to King County by Dec. 15. If necessary, rebuttal statements of 75 words are due Dec. 17.
