Spokes for Folks, the annual ride on bikes and other spoked vehicles, on June 4, raised $75,000 for the Senior Housing Assistance Group’s Community Life Foundation programs.
There were 112 participants who competed in the an 8-mile, 25-mile and a 40-mile round trip for bicyclists on the Interurban Trail and a half-mile fun loop at the Tukwila Community Center.
SHAG is one of the key developers of Tukwila Village, which will feature apartments for seniors and others in need of affordable housing, as well as a new library and shops.
