A car parked in the middle of a residential street in Tukwila at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday caught the attention of a Tukwila Police officer, who stopped to investigate.
Seeing the officer, an adult male jumped into the vehicle and sped off, according to a Tukwila Police Department news release. The officer attempted to stop it and determined it was reported stolen by King County.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle crashed at the intersection of South 112th Street and Tukwila International Boulevard. Two males and a female fled from the car.
Police set up a perimeter and eventually found the three occupants, who included a juvenile male and juvenile female and the adult driver.
The female was released at the scene and transported to a hospital with a medical condition unrelated to the incident, according to police. The male juvenile was questioned and released at the police station to an adult family member.
The male driver was booked into into King County Jail.
The incident is under further investigation by detectives from the Tukwila Police Major Crimes Unit.
