Two students from Tukwila were awarded bachelor’s degrees from Washington State University for the spring 2016 semester.
Travis Tipton Hayes earned a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences, and Kathryn Elizabeth Macfarlane graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.
Honors are given to students based on the following criteria: summa cum laude for a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or better; magna cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 but less than 3.9; and cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 but less than 3.7.
