All that black smoke rising over Tukwila Wednesday morning was from a van on fire just off Tukwila International Boulevard.
The fire was reported at about 8:15 a.m. in the 15600 block of 44th Avenue.
There was a “lot of plastic” in the conversion van, which is why “we had so much smoke,” according to Marty Grisham, a spokesman for the Tukwila Fire Department.
No one was hurt and the fire didn’t reach the house, he said.
The investigation was continuing Wednesday morning.
