A voters pamphlet for the Feb. 9 school special election is included with the ballot that was mailed to all registered voters last week in the Tukwila School District.
Ballots must be postmarked no later than Feb. 9 or dropped off at the King County Elections Division office at 919 S.W. Grady Way in Renton no later than 8 p.m. Feb. 9.
District officials have been receiving calls from some voters that they were waiting to receive the voters pamphlet before casting their votes, according to Sara Niegowski, the district’s communications director.
Typically, a voters pamphlet is prepared in such school special elections only if requested by a school board, which was done in Tukwila’s case.
There was no “con” statement prepared for the school district’s two levies and the bond measure.
