The Foster High Bulldogs are still in the hunt for a 2A District 3 championship with a heart-stopping 67-64 win over Sequim Wednesday in Tacoma.
The Bulldogs play No. 1 seed White River at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Tacoma’s Foss High School in the semifinals of the district tournament. The winner will play Saturday in the championship game against either Fife or Bremerton.
White River beat Sumner by one point, 42-41, in their Wednesday matchup.
Win or lose Friday, the Bulldogs have earned a spot as one of 16 teams headed into regional play and the state tournament. If the Bulldogs lose Friday, they’ll play for either third or fourth in the district, against either Fife or Bremerton.
