The Tukwila School District is offering online enrollment through Sept. 5 for Foster and Showalter students interested in turning out for a fall sport.
As of Friday, about 145 students have signed up to play fall sports. Foster football practices began Wednesday; other fall sports – boys and girls cross country and golf, girls swimming and volleyball, and boys tennis – begin on Monday, Aug. 25.
Showalter’s fall athletics begin on Sept. 3, the first day of school.
Athletes can sign up on their own computer or at a computer lab at Foster High School during business hours on Monday, the last day to use the computer lab.
The online application is free, but students need to pay $30 for ASB and have a valid sports physical prior to participation, according to J.D. Hills, the district’s athletic director.
The Foster Fall Sports Parent Night is 6 p.m., Sept. 4, at the Foster High Performing Arts Center, where families can talk with coaches.
Familes will be able to meet coaches for information.
