The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce they have launched a free mobile app for iPhone and Android devices.

“We are excited to be able to offer a new way for our fans to connect and engage with T-Birds hockey,” said T-Birds Vice President Colin Campbell. “We think that this app will get our fans closer to the team and be a great way to keep our fans in the know about team news and events.”

“We’re excited about the new Thunderbirds App”, said Cary Moretti, President and CEO of NewSport Media, which developed the T-Birds app. “The App launches straight into the current game and polls the stats server directly meaning that not only are the scores up to the minute but so are all the game details and stats. We have anxiously anticipated the App release and are looking forward to fan feedback that will help us add even more functionality to future releases.”

The Official Seattle Thunderbirds iPhone and Android Apps incorporate the latest team headlines and news, scores and schedule, stats, standings and roster. The apps will connect fans to the team’s social media platforms, website and promotions calendar. The new app will also let fans purchase tickets through their mobile browser.

Fans can download the new app by going to the T-Birds website and scanning the appropriate QR code with their device’s QR code reader. Fans can also search “Thunderbirds” in the App Store or Android Marketplace to find the T-Birds new app.
