The Seattle Sounders took on FC Dallas Aug. 12 at CenturyLink Field. The Sounders won its fifth game in a row, beating Dallas 2-1.
The Sounders started off strong by obtaining possession of the ball most of the first half, giving them the upper hand against Dallas.
Toward the end of the first half, the Sounders scored the first goal of the game. The goal was scored by defender Chad Marshall off a corner kick.
Once the second half started, Dallas caught up for a moment by scoring their first goal of the game. That didn’t stop the Sounders from coming right back at them and scoring its second, and final goal of the game.
The goal was scored by midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro.
Nearing the end of the game, disputes broke out against players. A red card was given to FC Dallas, causing an uproar of cheers from fans in the stands.
The Sounders next game is 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 against LA Galaxy at CenturyLink Field.
