It’s time to plan your business agenda for the new year, and a major networking event Jan. 7 is a good place to start.
The South Sound Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition Breakfast has a slew of hot-button discussion topics, and State Attorney General Rob McKenna as the keynote speaker.
The breakfast runs 7:30-9 a.m. in the fourth-floor Emerald Room at the Emerald Downs Race Track in Auburn, 2300 Emerald Downs Dr. Auburn.
Registration starts 7 a.m., followed by breakfast at 7:30 a.m., and the conference opening up at 8 a.m.
The morning’s agenda includes a discussion of the upcoming legislative agenda, followed by regional panel-discussion topics, including transportation, flood control, workforce competitiveness and government priorities.
McKenna is scheduled to speak from 8:40-8:55 a.m.
Admission is $25 per person, $200 for a table of eight, or $300 for a table of 12.
Sponsors of the event include Puget Sound Energy, Seattle King County Realtors, Comcast, Multi-Service Center, Waste Management and Port of Tacoma.

We represent approximately 3,262 businesses that employ more than 185,977 workers in the South King County and North Pierce County region.
