Detectives with the Tukwila Anti-Crime Unit with the assistance from SWAT and patrol officers served a warrant Jan. 10 at a residence in the McMicken Heights neighborhood.
According to a Facebook post by the Tukwila Police Department, the warrant was served after a lengthy investigation by TAC team detectives looking into an illegal marijuana grow operation.
More than 120 marijuana plants were seized from the residence along with other assets and cash, the post continued.
No one was inside the residence when the warrant was served.
“The residence has been a chronic nuisance to neighbors over the past several years generating concern and complaints regarding the criminal activity occurring in and around the residence,” the post read.
A similar warrant had been served at the location several years ago, according to the Facebook post.
The police department wrote “with (the) operation and seizures, we hope to return a sense of tranquility to what is a quiet, nice residential neighborhood.”
